ETHMER ROTEN
ETHMER ROTEN (Alto Sax, Flute, Piccolo, Clarinet)Like all outstanding musicians, Ethmer began his musical training young, at the age of ten. Long considered one of the top studio musicians, he played on almost every recording made by the late Henry Manicini. He has been a featured saxophonist with David Rose, Gordon Jenkins, John Williams, Quincy Jones, and Les Brown. He has accompanied singer including Frank Sinatra, Nat “King” Cole, Andy Williams, Lena Home, Judy Garland, Liz Minelli, Mel Torme’, Debbie Reynolds, John Raitt, Perry Como, Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, Bernadette Peters, and classically with Mario Lanza and Jan Pierce. He still performs with the San Fernando Valley Symphony Orchestra.
